Key Responsibilities
- Represent GERS in civil cases and assist in court preparations.
- Draft and review legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct legal research and prepare detailed reports on policy matters.
- Organize training sessions to elevate legal understanding among GERS staff.
- Collaborate on legal strategies and prepare materials for board discussions.
- Investigate legal matters and support witness interviews with confidentiality.
Qualifications
Education
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
Licensure
- Active member of the Virgin Islands Bar Association for at least three years.
Experience in public pension systems is preferred.
